We’re is an economical hotel to stay for 2 nights close to city ,port ,and airport in Barcelona. My wife and I will be going on a Mediterranean cruise in October .

No hotel is 'close' to the city, the port and the airport!
It's difficult..even impossible... for anyone to make specific suggestions without knowing what 'economical' means to you or what you expect from a hotel.
I suggest you look at the long-established and reliable https://www.booking.com. It lists pretty much all hotels in Barcelona (as well as B&Bs etc), with good mapping, rates for your specific dates and trustworthy reviews that can only be posted by people who have booked through the site and completed their stays.
You'll be able to find a hotel in a suitable location which meets your budget and expectatations. You can book through the site (my preference) or can google your chosen hotel and book on their website.

Hi.
Only you know what amount of money you want to spend on a hotel each night. (My economical hotel price per night is cheap as possible with A/C if summer, TV, wifi, private bathroom with hot water and a lock on the door! A safe or safety box would be helpful.)
- I would expect that your cruise ship might have info on things to see and possible hotel suggestions. It would not hurt to contact the cruise company.
