My name is Olga, I'm 20 years old. In a few years, I plan to begin a long journey around the world — hitchhiking for five years or more. I want to travel slowly, with an open heart. I was born in Pridnestrovie and currently study at a university in Russia. Soon, I’ll receive Moldovan (EU) citizenship.

The Middle East draws me most of all — I feel a deep love for its culture and atmosphere. My approximate route looks like this: the Baltics and Eastern Europe > Turkey and the Middle East > Southeast Asia > Australia and New Zealand > South and North America > England and Western Europe > Scandinavia, and finally back to Russia via Saint Petersburg.
At the beginning of the journey, I might work in Germany or Austria.

I’ve already hitchhiked more than 10,000 km across Russia — through forests, fields, mountains, and small towns. These moments on the road taught me simplicity, silence, kindness from strangers, and presence.
I’m looking for like-minded people — companions, friends, fellow travelers. Sincerity, openness, mutual support, and optimism are very important to me.

If something in you resonates, if you’ve been on a similar journey, if you want to join for a while or just share advice — you can write to me. Let this letter be a little star, connecting our eyes even if we’re far apart.

Thank you for finding this forum, opening this post, and reading to the end. Good luck in all endeavors. :)

Olga 20 years old, sounds like a female name.

Traveling around the world alone or with a companion, what could go wrong hitchhiking with everything you own often in a remote area??

Alone or with someone accompanying you, in a "less traveled place" you may have more cash in your pocket than many people get in a year of hard work! Not to mention, mobile phones, passport, clothes that can be stolen and resold.

Up to you!
