I have a file of GPS waypoints in GPX format that I'd like to import to my map. Is this possible?
You have an export link (which is great), but you should really have an import link as well!
Thanks.

Yeah, it would be nice. It hasn't been brought up much over the years, but you're the second person within a few weeks which makes me think demand is growing for it.
Would a KML import be suitable enough? There seem to be some sites out there that can convert GPX to KML and vice-versa so I guess that would be workable.
Hi there
Is there is a way to import KML? I am often input the travels here after they happened - and it would be much easier to use KML which are ready from Google Maps
Thank you
Sam
Hi Sam, no there is no way to import data into the maps at all I'm afraid. There is a KML export option though.
Peter, I just want to add my voice here. It would be great if the KML exports from Google Maps Timeline could be imported into TP. I would be perfectly happy to do them one day at a time if such a facility were developed. Timeline permits editing of the daily activity, so getting it right in Timeline before exporting the file to TP would be simplest for me.
If there's too much detail in any of the Timeline datatypes, I could certainly live with just the road travel coordinates and dates and ignore the more granular, lower-level details.

My +1 here
I don't use TP as a planner for different reasons, but I'd like to use it as a memory book for the trips that happened already. And import from google timeline is the easiest way
Yes, I use WanderLog and Google Maps for trip planning, Timeline for trip recording and TravellersPoint for trip records and mapping. I’m looking for a tool that will allow me to compose an e-book style digital trip journal so I don’t need to buy hard cover table books for all of our trips, ideally incorporating photos and QR links to short videos that can be scanned from the ebook.
Any ideas?
Thanks for chiming in Rshirra and Spirodonov. It helps to know there is demand for this. I can definitely see the use. I have added it to the public issue tracker for reference.
And the idea of an e-book creator for your travel memories is something that has also been floating around in my head. I don't know of anyone really providing that. Most cater to the physical book printing. Though I admit I also haven't looked particularly hard. If you do come across something feel free to let me know.
I’d be glad to help with the design.
