Hi everyone,
I´m currently in Bareclona for my semesters abroad and so excited for the time here. I want to make the most out of my stay and wanted to ask if any of you have tips, must go places or any other recommendations. I was also thinking about going to Morocco.
I´m looking forward to hear from you :)

Hi Marie, in another thread, I saw someone engaged in "a university project about virtual communities!! There we have to actively engange in forums and network with people". I kinda assume the same goes for you? (Full disclosure: we've seen so many of these over the years that I strongly suspected so already just from your initial post, before ever seeing that other thread.) If so, it'd be good to disclose that, since it has a high chance of influencing how people will respond. People on this forum are active travellers, who love helping other travellers, but we hate fake and promotional activities.

Anyway, I'd recommend making full use of being in Barcelona by using the high speed rail for taking weekend trips to nearby cities. I can personally recommend Girona, but suspect that every mid-size city within a couple of hours travelling will have something worthwhile about it. (So don't just go for long trips to Madrid and the like, but stay close-ish and really explore the region you're in.)

In Barcelona itself, one of my favorite daytrips was taking the Funicular to Valvidrera and hiking into the foresty hills from there, with Mt. Tibidabo being an obvious destination along the way.
