Hi I'm going to Berlin alone at the end of October for a week, my first time abroad alone. I'm not one to dwell in museums, go on sightseeing tours or basically the kind of 'traditional tourist' stuff (I'm 18), I'm into more cool, weird stuff you wouldn't find at home, aswell as shopping and checking out sites of historical interest to me (I'm interested in horrific, shocking history) So here's my week itinerary:

Friday 26th-Arrive, Unpack and familirise myself with the local area, (I'm staying at City Hostel Berlin just of Friedrichstrasse), view the local, important sights (Basically not out of interest more because there just there and I can say I've seen them)So Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Enter the Reichstag dome, Berlin wall, Jews memorial and if I have time the Topography of Terrors + Documentation Centre. I'll be arriving at 10am so will have the whole day to do these things + I probably won't spend more than 15 minutes at any of them except Reichstag and Topography of Terrors.

Saturday 27th-Tour of Sachsenhausen Concentration camp, late afternoon-visit the Gruselkabinett and in the evening experiance the Weinerei

Sunday 28th-Mauerpark Flea Market, Tour of Spreepark at 1pm and then Madame Tussauds

Monday 29th-Visit the Olympiastadion and visit Modellpark Berlin, Check out some shops in the area near my hostel

Tuesday 30th- Main shopping day, Europa centre ect + Heliport simulator and go up the TV Tower, in the evening go on a River Cruise

Wednesday 31st-Finish off any shopping and visit Potsdamer Platz-Tower, Boulevard of stars ect and at 2.30pm go on a tour of Hohenschonhausen Prison and maybe visit the Floating Lounge or Maze Nightclub

Thursday 1st-Berlin Zoo, Monsterkabinett & Currywurst museum plus anything I would like to do or want to go back to.

Friday 2nd-Return home

I think I have enough to be doing (I'm not one of these people who spend ages at one place, I tend to see what's there and move on to the next place)

I also have back up places incase something doesn't go to plan, or I have some extra time;
Medical History Museum-Read there was some weird exhibits here
Museum der unehorten dinge
Beat uhse erotik museum
Filmpark Babelsburg

I'm not really bothered about go to those places but there just back-ups

Anything weird, scary, bizarre, fascinating that I'm missing?

I'd also like to go and watch a comedy drag show one night but finding it hard to find online?

Overall what do you think to my itinerary?

I'm from the UK by the way so only have a 1.5 hour flight, so won't be too tired.

I'm sorry you won't be there earlier in the month because I just found out Berlin is having a festival of lights the 10th-21st. All sorts of monuments and buildings lit up with colors and projections all around the city. I'll be there the 18th-24th so I intend to take the bus tour on the 18th.

A restaurant called Nocti Vagus has "dining in complete darkness" which I thought would be different to do. The meal is pricey, 39 or 59 euro depending on the night, and gets mixed reviews. You choose from four menus, eat in COMPLETE darkness and there is entertainment based on the theme for that night.

I'm also one who usually hits the weird attractions like sex museums (Vienna and Miami) and torture museums (London, Amsterdam). I've been to a concentration camp in Poland and it was very sad. I don't think I need to see another one.

Have fun!
