Today in the morning I opened a new thread and asked the question, why I am always logged out here, even though I log in choosing "keep me logged in". Now I wanted to see if there is an answer, but I noticed that my thread and question has disappeared.
What happened??

I don't know about your thread but I'm getting logged out too, for the past week or so. It happens on both my laptop and android phone, both using Chrome.
I haven't seen the thread, while I've been monitoring the forum at least once an hour for the last ~7 hours (and assuming you've posted in System Talk, I'd have seen a thread if it had been erroneously flagged as spam as well).
Possible explanation: You clicked on "Preview" rather than "Submit", didn't notice, and moved on without ever actually posting?

As for the original subject - I've been annoyed for the last ~3 weeks as well at being logged out occasionally (on two different machines, both using Firefox). Not daily, but 1-2 times a week, where before I stayed logged in for years on end. I'm still trying to ascertain what's happening there.
Which browser are you using? Did the "keep me logged in" function ever work for you? If so, do you know roughly how long ago it stopped working?
That function works by storing some information in a cookie, which is validated on a subsequent visit. If you have your browser configured to throw away cookies when closing it / only allow "session" cookies (frequently done to help preserve privacy), that could cause this. If so, you should be able to explicitly whitelist travellerspoint in your browser, giving it permission to retain cookies beyond the session.

@Sander: I'm relatively sure that I clicked "submit". But of course, I cannot swear it. 
I'm using "Opera" and yes, staying logged in had worked all the last month. Only the last about 4 weeks it didn't. And I always allowed all cookies.
So lets wait and see what will happen.
Just got logged out again sometime in the last 12 hours - exactly a week after the last time.
The AWSALB and AWSALBCORS are the only cookies set which have a lifetime of a week. Their expiration date gets updated on each page visit; but it seems like there's some validator in the back-end which doesn't get updated and so is no longer good after that initial week is over?
I guess I'll specifically look for the presence of these two cookies a week from now. Strange, though that others get logged out daily...

Isn't it funny?? Yesterday I told you, that I stayed logged in the last days. And today I was logged out again. 
...And was just logged out on my phone.
And again for me - 48 hours rather than a week. :/
Curiously, when visiting on another device a couple of hours later - where I also was logged out ~48 hours ago - I'm still logged in!
