Hi everyone. Trying to figure out a summer vacation within 4 hours from central NJ with a 7 and 3 year old. Really open to anywhere minus the Jersey shore, Delaware beaches or ocean city MD. Been to all of those. Would love rocking horse ranch in NY but that’s like $1500 a night. I don’t have a budget and not looking to stay somewhere super cheap or anything, but also would rather not drop $1500 a night. Thank you!!!
Family friendly summer vacation driving distance from NJ
If you want a beach vacation, how about North Beach? Or even Solomon's Island. There aren't as many commercial things nearby as in Bethany Beach, but Solomons has lots of restaurnats a really nice museum and is just across the river from stuff in St. Mary's County. There is also Annapolis.
Going north, you might think about Groton or New London.
I was also thinking Deep Creek Lake, but that might be a little far
NYC. Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building?

Slightly longer trip, Virginia Beach?
Perhaps make it an overnight trip. (Virginia, probably cheaper than NYC and not a difficult drive.)
